Caregiver Academy

Caregiving can be an overwhelming and unfamiliar role, and many individuals step into it with little preparation or support. As part of the Davidson County Caregiver Academy, community members are invited to attend quarterly lunch-and-learn sessions that offer practical education in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Each session focuses on a different topic and is designed to help caregivers become confident, capable, and compassionate in caring for a loved one. These free educational luncheons are led by community experts and are open to anyone providing care for a family member or friend.

To register for Davidson County Caregiver Academy offerings, please contact Davidson County Senior Services at 336-242-2290.

How can we help?

Choosing the right level of support is a significant decision, but you don’t have to make it alone. Whether you have specific questions about our services or simply need a professional to help you navigate your current circumstances, our team is here to listen and provide clarity.

When my father’s health changed, we didn’t know what step to take next. The team at Alderwood listened to our priorities, answered our questions, and clearly explained how their services could help. They made the transition so seamless that we were able to stop being ‘caregivers’ and go back to just being his family.
