Grief Support Groups
Grief is both universal and deeply personal
Sharing our individual experiences in a supportive, shared setting can open new pathways to healing, connection, and understanding.
At Alderwood, we believe that no one should have to navigate life after loss alone. Our grief support groups offer a safe, compassionate sanctuary to explore emotional experiences, discover healthy coping strategies, and connect with others walking a similar path.

Looking for Support?
Support Group participation is open to all adults (18+) in our service area.
Your loved one did not need to be an Alderwood patient for you to access these free resources.

In-person Grief Support Group
Guided by our professional counseling team, this group addresses the emotional, spiritual, and practical aspects of navigating loss. Each session focuses on themes relevant to the immediate needs of the group—including love, loss, peace, hope, and healing.
Held the first Wednesday of every month from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M., this in-person support group offers a place to share and support one another. Grief looks different for everyone and this group is open to any member of the community as well as the loved ones of patients under our care. Bereavement Coordinator, Emily Sullivan, leads the monthly conversation addressing topics relevant for the needs of the group.
Virtual Support Group
