Annual Professional Conference on Grief & Loss

By bringing together a multidisciplinary network of experts, we foster an environment of integrated expertise.

At Alderwood, we believe that supporting individuals through life’s most consequential journeys is a collective responsibility. Our Annual Professional Conference on Grief and Loss is a premier gathering designed to equip those who walk alongside the grieving with the clinical insights and emotional tools necessary to provide exceptional care.

This is a space to explore the depth and complexity of loss while strengthening the support systems that serve our community.

Join Alderwood of Davidson County for our annual professional conference dedicated to expanding understanding and improving care for individuals dealing with complex, overlooked grief featuring our keynote speaker, Dr. Laura Wheat, PhD, LPC/MHSP. This year’s event explores secondary loss, underserved populations, and practical applications for supporting individuals experiencing disenfranchised and marginalized grief.

Attendees will earn 5 Continuing Education Hours for attending. The event takes place on Thursday, October 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Davidson-Davie Community College in Thomasville, NC with a registration fee of $50.

Connecting Professionals. Advancing Care.

In addition to continuing education opportunities, the conference fosters collaboration and professional networking among those dedicated to compassionate care. It is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening grief support services within our community and advancing excellence in care.
